Raavan Ictv Print
Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Govinda, Ravi Kishan, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Ajay Gehi
Review:
Raavan is a Hindi language film directed by Mani Ratnam set to be released in 2009. It stars Vikram,Abhishek Bachchan,Aishwarya Rai,Govinda and Ravi Kishan in the Hindi version. It is also being made in simultaneously in Tamil as Ashokavanam with a slightly different cast.
Mani Ratnam is reportedly producing a present day version of the Indian epic Ramayana which tells the story of Rama, whose wife Sita is abducted by the demon (Rakshasa) king of Lanka, Ravana.Mani Ratnam had earlier directed Thalapathi which bore a close resemblance to the Mahabharata.
While details of the films are closely guarded and pictures from the film set are yet to be revealed there have been numerous reports and speculations on the casting of both the films.
It was earlier reported that Abhishek Bachchan was cast as the protagonist based on Rama and Vikram would be portraying the title character based on Ravana.More recent reports have Abhishek portraying the role of Ravana and Vikram playing Rama. There are conflicting reports on the role Vikram is playing in the Tamil Version Ashokavanam. While earlier sources report Vikram playing Rama and Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying Ravana, more recent speculations are that Vikram plays Ravana while Prithviraj is Rama.
Aishwarya Rai plays a contemporary Sita, appearing as an accomplished Carnatic Musician in both versions of Mani Ratnam's films.
Govinda plays a forest officer who takes Vikram's character through the forests in search of a wanted criminal. While it was earlier speculated that it was a contemporary version of Hanuman,Govinda refutes the claim.Karthik Muthuraman plays the character in Ashokavanam.
Ravi Kishan and Ajay Gehi are reported to play characters based on Ravana’s brothers Kumbhakarna and Vibhishana.Prabhu Ganesan plays the character of Vibhishana in Ashokavanam.
A recent article in The Times of India mentions Tejaswini Kolhapure playing a pivotal role in Raavan.

Release Date: June 04, 2010
All eyes on Krish Jagar it was this Friday. A first film can be a fluke but not a second one, more so if it is not a commercial entertainer and when the audience are still attempting to enjoy alternative stories. With a bag full of awards and loads of appreciation, the director did not give into temptation, stuck to his story, and made a film that preaches Vedam is humanity and humanity is a simple treatment of a man as human. He chose five characters whose lives are beautifully nuanced, structured at many levels and meet at a point.
The first half of the film depicts the characters in their respective problems. Rahim, a Muslim is distressed, he is drawn into an argument, a fight and his wife suffers a miscarriage in a rally held by the Hindus. The man is upset with his past, unable to come to terms with reality and wants to leave the country. The police still suspect him to be a terrorist and trouble him unnecessarily.
There is Saroja who wants to take a flight to freedom, unhappy with the exploitation at the hands of a sex worker, the lady with her colleague escapes from the brothel house. Vivek Chakravarthy, a rock star who wants to make it big in the music world, have a band of his own leads his troupe for a show. Ramulu, an old man has a lofty dream, wants to educate his grandson and is dying to come out of debts. He sets out on a journey with his daughter-in-law to get some money home.
Finally Raju, an educated youth finds himself trapped in poverty, woos a rich girl, lies about his status as a cable operator, goes on a mission to find 40 thousand rupees to party with his girl friend.
All the characters who are led by goals become selfless, the metamorphosis is complete with striking dialogues and aided with visuals. The movie appears crammed first but later the narrative becomes emblematic of the director's aim. Everyone learns something or the other from this story, from the characters, emotions, about life being terrorized by greed, lust, ambition, power play, and that good begets good, and life is all about the choices you make.

Crazy Kutumba
Crazy Kutumba is a remake of the Marathi film De Dhakka, which is inspired by the Hollywood film Little Miss Sunshine. It is romantic-comedy film with a message of human triumph over adversity. Due to their different dreams, members of a family face several problems on their way from Belgaum to Bangalore, but the potential of their unity remains unshaken.
The movie is the story of a dysfunctional family bonding during a journey from Balekundri to Bangalore to participate in a TV reality show. Ramesh Aravind, Ananth Nag's performances are the main highlight of the film. Rajinikanth's comedy, Ricky Kej’s music, dialogues, screenplay and costumes are the other plus points of the movie.
The film has a neat script. With his lively narration director B Rammurthy has successfully adapted the North Karnataka language and culture along with giving comical touch to the movie. The first half of the movie deals with the journey through which the director discovers the strength and weaknesses of all the characters. The second half deals with the problems created by different dreams.
Shankar Gouda Patil (Ramesh Aravind) is a mechanic and is married to Sumathi (Sana). His father Mallannagouda Patil (Ananth Nag) is an alcoholic. The family decides to leave for Bangalore to see their child Gowri (Dhanya) participate in a TV reality show. The family misses the bus in Belgaum and takes an autorickshaw to cross 600 kms. How they manage to reach Bangalore and what kinds of troubles they face will create a laugh riot and it should be watched on-screen.
Even though the movie is remake, director B Rammurthy has is successful to maintain the nativity. To give authenticity to character, scene and place, he has managed to get every silly details regarding language, costume, behavior mannerisms. and all the actors have tried their best in supporting him in making it successful family drama.
Rickey Kej's music, which has already impressed the audience, is another highlight of the movie Crazy Kutumba. The film has four songs Jayanth Kaikini has penned and rest are taken from noted writers Kuvempu, KS Narasimha Swamy and HS Venkateshamurthy's poems.
In a nutshell, Crazy Kutumba is a slapstick with an injection of sentiment. Although the movie appears like a stage performance in many scenes, it successfully holds the attention of viewers with comedy. Members of a family can sit together and enjoy this 'crazy family' story.

Director: B Rammurthy
Cast: Ramesh Aravind, Ananth Nag, Sana, Dhanya, Harish, Rajinikanth, Vijaya Kumar, Bank Janardhan, Kari Basavaiah and Veera Shanker

Just Math Mathalli Kannada Movie Online
Just Math Mathalli Kannada Movie Online
Year : 2010
Cast : Sudeep, Ramya, Avinash, Rajesh, Keerthigowda, Yathiraj, Raghu...
Music Director : Raghu Dixit
Producer : R Shankar
Director : Kicha Sudeep
Just Math Mathalli Movie Review
Actor cum director Sudeep in his first original script direction (earlier three were remakes) has the style but the substance to hold the attention of the audience is missing. The first half of the film belongs to ravishing Ramya and in the second half Sudeep in an emotional journey touches the hearts. But where are the elements that give kicking moments for the audience Mr Sudeep?
In this film ‘JMM’ he has adopted the new style of narration. Excellent cinematography, locations; two good tunes from Raghu Dixit are just not enough. The shifting from action packed ‘Yee Shathamanadha Veera Madhakari’ to a sober and sensitive film by Sudeep is a welcome only when the producer R Shanker is ensured of profits. Think sensibly is the call of the day!
The conversation between Siddarth and Adhi could have been pruned and two days stay in the railway platform also deserved some logical treatment. Raghu Dixit music is loud and should have been been
controlled. Raghu Dixit should take some cues from the music director like Hamsalekha who gives equal importance to music and lyrics.
Siddarth (Sudeep) is disenchanted youth as his past is filled with sordid tales. He is spotted by Tanu (Ramya) three times and every time from the point of view of Tanu thinking he is on the verge of suicide.
That is not true hits back Siddarth when he is sipping coffee with sugar free tablets. Later the hard core fan of Abhisekh Bachchan, Tanu misses the train to her native place and forced to stay in the railway platform where Siddarth is also stranded. It is here Tanu and Siddarth become good friends, know each other and then fall in love. In the short stay at Tanu’s place in Coorg, Siddarth gets the proposal from Tanu. The surprise opens up when Siddarth says a strong ‘No’ to Tanu.
It is the post interval we get to see the flash back (as a matter of fact the entire narration is interspersed in flash back technique – it is the conversation between Siddarth and Adhi on their way to Singapore. It is only when Siddarth lands in Singapore the flash back ends) a tale of woes of Siddarth. A smart singer who is surrounded by beautiful babes but not interested to say ‘I Love You’ to anyone and keeps aloof. But one Divya (Keerthi Gowda) who is madly in love with Siddarth commits suicide when her proposal is turned down by Siddarth.
Once the grand father of Divya comes before Siddarth to handover a letter written by Divya (that Siddarth does not open) he is in shambles. From here he loses faith in love and relationships. But Tanu says it is a different story and he should have understood.
At the climax in Singapore where Siddarth on an invitation of his friend Adhi to attend his marriage to his surprise finds that Tanu is nobody but Nandini. In a majestic style Siddarth returns back, saying he has found his Tanu over telephone to Adhi.
High degree of excellence is seen in Sudeep’s acting. Is he going to get the spot of Dr Vishnuvardhana in emotional roles one would sit back and think! Such a glorious actor Sudeep knows how to control his performance and act without delivering dialogues. He looks handsome and a little glow in skin would be very fine.
Ramya chills out and screams to attract. She looks plump and her acting is super fine. The dubbing of Deepu has further added value to Ramya’s performance. Agile Avinash, talkative Rajesh, silent Arun Sagar give
admirable show.
The editing and special effects are of high standard. The slow motion mixture in movement of characters gives a new feel.Raghu Dixit has the stuff but it is not given in controlled format. The song for Tanu and the title track are good ones from Raghu Dixit. Sri Venkat gives a pleasant treatment to the eyes. The lighting and location lifts the quality of the film.
This is not totally deplorable but decent of course!
Scoring 6.5/10

Movie Review
From the director of 'Gamyam', comes another meaningful story 'Vedham'. Audience in search of wisdom, your ultimate stop is here. Readers, if this review goes a little long, it is only that appreciation to this movie has no bounds. Krish has done a flawless job that will make the audience sit at the edge of the seat for most of the time.
With this movie, Tollywood goes to the next level. The level from commercial cinema to meaningful cinema! Krish has already announced his arrival with ‘Gamyam’ and now he has cemented his place with ‘Vedam’.
The Characters
'Vedam' is the story of 6 people. All the people involved are introduced individually. First in the list is Manchu Manoj as Vivek Chakravarthy who's introduced with a title as 'Rocking Star'. He is a rock star in the movie and a song showing him as a rock star appears soon after the title of the movie. He along with his girl friend Lasya (Lekha Washington) and their gang set up a rock band in Bangalore. They go to Hyderbad for a performance.
Next is Nagayya as Ramulu, an old man from Lingampally, is introduced along with his daughter in law Saranya. They are illiterates who face serious financial problems. They are in debt to Patel who has Saranya's son captive. Only upon paying the debt, the son would be set free. The only solution is to sell a kidney of Saranya that takes the old man and his daughter in law to Hyderbad.
Next scene is a 'basthi' (slum) in Jubilee hills, Hyderbad. Allu Arjun as 'Cable Raju' is introduced. He's educated yet works as a cable boy who doesn't pay his boss. He fakes his life as a rich brat and makes his filthy rich girl friend believe the same. He needs money to impress his girl friend.
In this list of 6 people, the fifth in the line is Manoj Bajpai as Rahim Qureshi. A bitter past in a Hindu Muslim fight, his pregnant wife loses the foetus before birth. A small misunderstanding with a cop has him in a black list. He is a good man and a beloved husband yet in the bad books of the police.
The last in the list is Anushka who’s Saroja, a prostitute. She knows no other way of living. She along with her friend, ‘Karpooram’, a eunuch, wants to get out of the prostitute house they work for. They want to set up on their own.
The Plot
This is a classic movie that will go in to history no doubt! IndiaGlitz appreciates the director, Krish for making such a meaningful movie. Only a gist is given and nothing more. After the introduction of all characters, the plot takes place on 31st night. Every character is associated with Hyderbad. This one night is life changing for all the 6 persons and the people associated with them.
Parallel to the lives of these 6 people, a gang of terrorists plot a plan to massacre innocent citizens in the name of ‘Jihad’. How these people are related and how the others in the hospital, who are held as hostages by the terrorists, are saved, forms the terrific remainder of this paramount story.
The hero of the movie…
The screenplay and it is the hero! The introduction of all characters is done one by one. It is a simple yet powerful screenplay. The characterization of all characters is sketched carefully in such a way that the script is not dominated. Given the images of Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj, the script emerges greater.
'Vedam' Dialogues are exemplary and compliment the screenplay.
The screenplay is crisp thanks to the editor Sravan. The way the story is narrated by Krish is just amazing and any word above that will go to him. No lag in script and that is one sign of a classy movie maker. Kudos to him and his editor!
The next important technician is the cinematographer VS Gnana Sekhar. His camera has captured all those intense scenes excellently particularly a few scenes on the highway when Manoj and his band are on their way to Hyderbad from Bangalore.
M M Keeravani’s music and rerecording are remarkable. Looks like he saves his best for the best! Elegant work from the veteran, his music is definitely an asset.
Performances
Starting from the order of appearance in the movie- Manoj as an actor will cherish the character he has portrayed in ‘Vedam’ all through his career. He has been shown as an intelligent guy who has an ambition. Manoj has pulled of a decent job. Interestingly when his name appeared in the titles, his character was described as special appearance as subscript.
Allu Arjun as a cable guy would equally feel happy to have bagged such a role. His screen presence is a little more than Manoj, his character demands it. Allu Arjun has evolved as an actor yet his expressions could be better. In fact Manchu Manoj and Allu Arjun come on the screen together only for a few seconds and that too in the climax.
Manoj Bajpai has brought out a terrific performance and his performance is the pick of the lot. Anushka has done a decent job. All other actors have done a great job but a lame member of the audience would feel there were too many characters involved yet the script emerges winner.
Verdict
Reiterating the point that Krish has taken Tollywood to the next level, his ‘Vedam’ is a genesis that other film makers will start to contemplate about. He has touched every aspect of life be it religion or money and carefully conveyed a message about good living. This movie is a clear winner and any rating will only be too less. Hats off Radha Krishna!
